JACKSON -- Maple Junior Williams, 68, of Jackson died Tuesday, Oct. 20, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born May 5, 1930, in Jackson, son of Lawrence and Vida Smith Williams. He and Louise Overbeck Brotherton were married Nov. 24, 1961, at Marble Hill.

Williams was self-employed at Williams Plumbing 40 years. He attended First General Baptist Church at Jackson, and was a member of Westview Masonic Lodge 103 at Millersville.

Survivors include his wife; a son, David Williams of Seattle, Wash.; two daughters, Beverly Loucks of Huntingburg, Ind., Sharon Botello of Anna, Ill.; two stepsons, Steve Brotherton of Jackson, and Mike Brotherton of Oklahoma City, Okla.

Other survivors include a brother, Glen Williams of Jackson; five sisters, Mae Smith and Kay Hoffmeister of Jackson, Betty Cox of Cape Girardeau, Evelyn Langhofer of Kansas, Hazel Reid of Oak Ridge; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.

Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. today. A Masonic service will be held at 7.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Luther Rhodes and Mike Huffman officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
