MAUDE TAYLOR

CHAFFEE -- Maude Louise Taylor, 73, of Chaffee died Thursday, Oct. 22, 1998, at her home.

She was born Jan. 16, 1925, at Nash, son of William Henry and V. Minnie Slinkard White. She married Hampton Howard Taylor Jan. 30, 1943. He died Oct. 2, 1975.

Taylor had worked at Florsheim Shoe Co. in Chaffee, and had been a nurse aide at Chaffee General Hospital. She was a member of the General Baptist Church and Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post 3127.

Survivors include two daughters, Iris Slinkard and Alice Swain of Chaffee; a brother, Edward White of Chaffee; five sisters, Mary Dennis and Margery Jobe of Chaffee, Carol Morris and Martha Standridge of Sikeston, Camille Crumbaugh of Springfield, Ill.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, four brothers, and a sister.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 3 p.m. Saturday.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the General Baptist Church, with the Rev. Joe Payne officiating. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery.
