EAST PRAIRIE -- Carl Smith, 33, of Catron, formerly of East Prairie died Friday, Nov. 13, 1998, at his home.

He was born Feb. 15, 1965, at Indianapolis, Ind., the son of Willie Ray and Shirley Ann Skelton Smith. He and Barbara Cockrum were married Aug. 15, 1987.

Smith was employed by Sweeney Farms of Catron.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Amanda Higgins of East Prairie; a stepson, Jimmy Bradley of Catron; a stepdaughter, Diane Cockrum of Sikeston; a brother, Jimmy Dale Smith of East Prairie; four sisters, Cathy Kay LeSieur of Fulton, Shirley Ann Swann of Sikeston, Norma Jean Brewer and Peggy Sue Sprinkles, both East Prairie.

Friends may call at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie after 11 a.m. Monday.

Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
