EVA VAIL

CHARLESTON -- Eva Geneva Vail, 88, formerly of Charleston, died Saturday, Dec. 5, 1998, at the Bertrand Nursing Facility.

She was born Jan. 15, 1910, at Murray, Ky., daughter of Maxie and Maggie Stagner McMillen.

In 1938, she married Ira Vail, who died in 1970.

She lived in Mississippi County for most of her life and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include three brothers, Willie McMillen of Bertrand, J.C. McMillen of Sikeston and Grady McMillen of St. Louis; four sisters, Edna Huey of Lewisburg, Ky., Reva Switzer of Peoria, Ill., Dorothy Patrick of Kilbourn, Ill., and Margaret Cates of Charleston.

Visitation is today from 5-8 p.m. at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.

Funeral will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Bill Meeks officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
