Raymond Robertson

JONESBORO, Ill. -- Raymond Lee Robertson, 66, of Jonesboro died Tuesday, Dec. 8, 1998, at Union County Hospital in Anna.

He was born May 29, 1932, at Jonesboro, son of Curtis Hugh and Martha Jane Shephard Robertson. He and Anita June Verble were married Oct. 17, 1990, in Jonesboro.

Robertson served in the U.S. Air Force 20 years, and also retired from Florsheim Shoe Co. He was a member of Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Raymond Robertson Jr. of Ft. Worth, Texas; his mother, Martha Woolridge of Jonesboro; a sister, Mary Robertson of Jonesboro; two half brothers, Jack Woolridge of Jonesboro, Dick Woolridge of Decatur; a stepbrother, Robert Woolridge of Jonesboro; and four grandchildren.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna after 6 p.m. Friday.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ralph Lee officiating. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery, with military rites by VFW Post 3455.
