CHAFFEE -- Peter Anthony Morie, 92, of Chaffee, died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 1997, at the Chaffee Nursing Center.
He was born Oct. 6, 1904, in New Hamburg, the son of John and Katherine Gosche Morie. On Oct. 29, 1929, he married Cecelia L. Legrand.
He was a retired farmer.
He belonged to St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee and its Men's club. He belonged to Chaffee Elks Lodge #1810.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Marie Kern of New Hamburg; two grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A son, eight brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee with parish prayers at 7 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee with Rev. Allan Saunders officiating. Burial will be in St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery in New Hamburg.
