Bess R. Esicar, 92, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 1997, at her home in Cape Girardeau. She was born in November 1905 in Chicago, the daughter of William T. and Nettie Sherman. She married E.A. She was born in November 1905 in Chicago, the daughter of William T. and Nettie Sherman.
She married E.A. Esicar Sr., Sept. 1, 1924, at St. Louis. He died July 13, 1977.

She was the president of Esicar Old Hickory Smoke House Inc. in Cape Girardeau.
She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 3838.
Survivors include two sons, E.A. and Richard Esicar of Cape Girardeau, two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Larry Galamore will officiate.
