PERRYVILLE -- Beatrice Sandlin, 80, of Perryville died Sunday, Nov. 30, 1997, at the Perry County Nursing Home. She was born March 6, 1917, in Herculaneum, daughter of Ira and Myrtle LeClere Ward. She and Irless Sandlin were married June 16, 1934. He died Aug. 17, 1990...

PERRYVILLE -- Beatrice Sandlin, 80, of Perryville died Sunday, Nov. 30, 1997, at the Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born March 6, 1917, in Herculaneum, daughter of Ira and Myrtle LeClere Ward. She and Irless Sandlin were married June 16, 1934. He died Aug. 17, 1990.

She worked as a seamstress at Prince Gardner until her retirement. She was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Crosstown.

Survivors include a daughter, Loretta Lybarger of Perryville; a brother, Robert Ward of Pacific; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville and from 6:30 a.m. until noon Wednesday.

Service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Bethlehem Baptist Church, with the Revs. Steve Francis and Alvin Mathis officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
