ANNA, Ill. -- Mrs. Grace Marie Elkins, 96, of Anna, died Wednesday, Dec. 24, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born March 26, 1901, at Carterville, Ill., daughter of David and Sidney Williams Lipe. She married Claude E. ("Shennie") Elkins on Aug. 1, 1920. He preceded her in death on Nov. 18, 1988...

ANNA, Ill. -- Mrs. Grace Marie Elkins, 96, of Anna, died Wednesday, Dec. 24, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born March 26, 1901, at Carterville, Ill., daughter of David and Sidney Williams Lipe.

She married Claude E. ("Shennie") Elkins on Aug. 1, 1920. He preceded her in death on Nov. 18, 1988.

She is survived by a son, Bill Elkins of Anna; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Kate Rodd, and a brother, Joe Lipe.

Graveside services will be held at noon Saturday at the Anna City Cemetery, with Pastor Rick Hertenstein officiating. Interment will be in Anna Cemetery. Lutz & Rendleman Funeral Home of Anna is in charge of arrangements.

There is be no visitation.
