JACKSON -- Funeral service for Irene Koenig of Jackson will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. The Rev. Robert Henrichs will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 9 a.m. Saturday.

Koenig, 75, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 1997, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born July 11, 1921, at New Wells, daughter of Martin and Ella Scholl Koenig.

Koenig moved from the farm in New Wells to Jackson in the early 1960s. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Survivors include a brother, Leonard Koenig of Jackson, and a sister, Virgie Roth of Affton.
