SIKESTON -- Janice B. Simmons, 76, of Sikeston died Thursday, Jan. 2, 1997, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born April 25, 1920, in Advance, daughter of William Henry and Clara Edith Goodman Simmons.

Simmons was a legal secretary for Blanton Law Firm six years, and also had worked at Paul Slinkard Tax Service.

Survivors include two nephews, William Simmons III of Chaffee, James Simmons of Cape Girardeau; three nieces, Barbara Long of Sikeston, Elizabeth Bradley of Memphis, Tenn., and Jody Simmons of Jackson.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5-7 p.m. today.

Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Garden of Memories Cemetery, with the Rev. Kelley Grubbs officiating.
