HESTER GRAHAM

MATTHEWS -- Funeral service for Hester G. Graham, Matthews Route 1, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. The Rev. Greg Robertson will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Graham, 78, died Monday, Jan. 6, 1997, at her home.

She was born April 27, 1918, at Dogwood, daughter of Robert E. and Christine Butler Atkinson. She and John Stacy Graham were married Aug. 15, 1936, at Matthews. He died Nov. 9, 1974.

Graham worked in the family farm operation.

Survivors include a son, Harry Graham of the home; three daughters, Betty Depro and Wanda Proffer of Matthews, Martha Warren of St. Louis; a brother, Ira Atkinson of Union; 13 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, six brothers and four sisters.
