SR. M. AGNESINE WINSCHEL

CHATAWA, Miss. -- Sister M. Agnesine Winschel, 89, of Chatawa, died Thursday, Jan. 9, 1997, at St. Mary of the Pines in Chatawa.

She was born May 19, 1907, in Apple Creek, Mo., daughter of John and Louise Trapp Winschel.

She did community service as homemaker at St. Mary Cathedral in Cape Girardeau from 1977-1983. She retired to St. Mary of the Pines in 1938.

While in Cape Girardeau, Sister Agnesine celebrated her 50th Jubilee.

She was professed as a School Sister of Notre Dame in 1930. She was a retired homemaker having served at French Village in 1928 and atGrand Chain, Ill., in 1929.

She was supervisor of Food Services at Chinchuba Institute for the Deaf in Marrero, La., from 1930-1977.

Survivors include one sister, Corine Maddock of St. Louis.

Visitation was at 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 14 at St. Teresa Chapel at St. Mary's with Hartman Funeral Home of McComb in charge of arrangements. Funeral service was held Jan. 15 at the chapel with Father Robert Dore officiating. Burial followed at Chatawa Cemetery.
