PERRYVILLE -- Clinton J. "Buster" Esselman, 65, of Perryville died Monday, Feb. 17, 1997, at Jefferson Barracks Nursing Home.

He was born Nov. 24, 1931, at McBride, son of Pat and Lillian Anderson Esselman. He and June Marlen were married April 4, 1959.

Esselman had been chief engineer with Ohio River Co. He was a member of Christ the Savior Catholic Church at Brewer, and AmVets Post 94. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Cindy Brown of Ste. Genevieve, Beverly Parmer of Sedgewickville, Toni Schmeltzer of Orlando, Fla.; three brothers, George Esselman of Fort Worth, Texas, Chalmer Esselman of Owensville, Donald Esselman of Chester, Ill.; a sister, Norma Blanford of Perryville; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:30-9:30 a.m. The parish wake will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Christ the Savior Church. The Rev. Felipe Martinez will officiate, with burial in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
