PERRYVILLE -- Lucille Mary Ponder, 87, died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. PERRYVILLE -- Lucille Mary Ponder, 87, died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born March 25, 1909, in Perry County, daughter of Charles and Victoria Julia Winkler Ponder.

Ponder was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church at Apple Creek, and its Ladies Sodality.

Survivors include three brothers, Adrian Ponder of St. Louis, Wilfred Ponder of Apple Creek, Thomas Ponder of Cape Girardeau; and a sister, Bernetta Henderson of St. Ann.

She was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers.

Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. Friday, and Saturday from 6:30-10:30 a.m. The parish wake will be at 7 p.m. today, and the rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Church, with the Rev. Terry Borgerding officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
