ADELE HAHN

Adele M. Hahn, 88, of Cape Girardeau, died Tuesday, March 4, 1997, at Chateau Girardeau.

She was born Nov. 15, 1908, in St. Louis, daughter of Chester A. and Emma Josephine Genin Cowell. She and Harold G. Hahn were married Nov. 24, 1930. He died in 1979.

Hahn was formerly of Chester, Ill. She had been active in the historical society there, and held local and state offices.

Survivors include a son, Robert Hahn of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Mary O'Halloran of Richmond, Va.; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at Schroeder-McClure Funeral Home in Chester from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chester, with burial in St. John's Cemetery at Red Bud, Ill.
