MOREHOUSE -- Clyde C. "Buddy" Hicks, 58, of Moline, Ill., died Sunday, March 9, 1997, at Genesis Medical Center in Davenport, Iowa.

He was born Sept. 10, 1938, in Morehouse, son of Clarence "Shorty" and Clessie Lee Hall Hicks.

Formerly of Davenport, he was a truck driver for a construction company there. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Survivors include a brother, Clifford Hicks of Oak Grove, La.; six sisters, Clara VanDevire and Audrey Jovan of Moline, Lucille Mullenix of Sikeston, Loretta Carlson of Belleview, Fla., Linda Tharp of Rock Island, Ill., and Glenda West of Benson, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

Funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Jerry Adams officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Friends may call at the chapel from 12:30 p.m. to service time.
