GLEN ALLEN -- Wilson Edward Sitze, 84, of Glen Allen, formerly of Alton, Ill., died Sunday, March 16, 1997, at his home.

He was born Nov. 2, 1912, near Bessville, son of Martin and Vina Goodson Sitze. He married Marie Cobb on Sept. 28, 1935.

Sitze was a carpenter with Smith Construction Co. of Alton, retiring in 1976. He attended First Baptist Church in Marquand.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Marcia Patton of East Alton, Ill., Sharon Manns of Fosterburg, Ill., and Francis DuBar of Harrisburg, Ark.; two brothers, Raymond Sitze of Glen Allen and Edwin Sitze of LaPorte, Ind.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

Funeral service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Revs. Randy Poole and Bob Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
