VELDA BROWN
PERRYVILLE -- Velda Mary C. Brown, 82, died Sunday, March 16, 1997, at Perry County Memorial Hospital. She was born Oct. 5, 1914, at Brewer, daughter of Carl and Myrtle Voelker Moore. She married Emil F. Brown May 23, 1936. He died Sept. 3, 1969. Brown was a retired teacher. Survivors include a daughter, Donna Kirn of Cape Girardeau; two sons, Roger Brown of Perryville and Gary Brown of Grand Rapids, Mich.; and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death a brother and sister.
Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, and 6:30 to 9:40 a.m. Thursday. The parish wake will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, and the rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Thursday.
Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Christ the Savior Church, with the Rev. Felipe Martinez officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
