RUTH SEEMATTER

MARBLE HILL -- Ruth J. Seematter, 81, of Springfield, formerly of Marble Hill, died Thursday, March 20, 1997, at Strafford Care Center in Strafford.

She was born March 29, 1915, in Piedmont, daughter of Zimri and Margaret Monroe Clark. She and Charles G. Seematter were married Sept. 21, 1940. He died Jan. 7, 1986.

Seematter was a retired teacher, and member of First Baptist Church in Marble Hill.

Survivors include two sons, Tom Seematter of Ellington, Steve Seematter of Poplar Bluff; a daughter, Janice Buchanan of Springfield; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 3-4 p.m., and from 6-8 p.m. at Morrison-Worley Funeral Chapel in Piedmont.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Morrison Worley Chapel, with the Rev. Fred Ritter officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery at Piedmont.
