EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for Gerald Morgan of Creve Coeur will be held at 10 a.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. LeRoy Davenport will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.

Morgan, 47, died Wednesday, March 12, 1997, at Westview Nursing Center in Creve Coeur.

He was born Jan. 15, 1950, in East Prairie, son of Walter E. and Julia Inez Newman Morgan. He and Mary Taylor were married Nov. 26, 1977. She died July 30, 1992.

Morgan moved to Creve Coeur in 1993 from East Prairie.

Survivors include a stepson, Buddy Taylor; two stepdaughters, Pansy Sisk and Mary Taylor, all of Springfield; three sisters, Doris Gregg of Montgomery City, Juanita Lowery of Overland Park, Kan., Catherine Hutson of Bourbon; and four stepgrandchildren.
