PULASKI, Ill. -- Gus McClellan, 97, of Pulaski, Ill., died Sunday, March 16, 1997, at his home.
He was born Jan. 30, 1900, in Pulaski County, Ill., son of John and Bathsheba Milford McClellan. He was a retired farmer and member of the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Pulaski.
He is survived by two sons, Carl McClellan of Sikeston and Oliver McClellan of Pulaski; four daughters, Marie Foster and Louise Newell both of Pulaski, Dorothy Cameron of Mounds, Ill., and Marilea Bagby of Villa Ridge, Ill.; 16 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, one son, five brothers, one half-brother and two half-sisters.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Herman Painter officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Pulaski.
