SCOTT CITY -- Thelma Lucille Pennington, 69, of Scott City died Saturday, March 15, 1997, at Dexter Memorial Hospital in Dexter.
She was born June 10, 1927, in Malden, daughter of Gilbert Arrington and Myrtle Staham. She married Jack Pennington Nov. 7, 1942, in Bloomfield. He preceded her in death Jan. 31, 1993.
Pennington worked as an assembly line worker at Davis Electric in Cape Girardeau. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include three sons, Bobbie Joe Pennington of Memphis, Harles Mitchell Pennington of San Francisco, and Gary Dale Pennington of Scott City; one daughter, Alice Jane Adams of Millersville, one sister, Ella Treadway of Oxford, Mich., and five grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, one grandchild and four brothers.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City or after 6 p.m. Tuesday at Landess Funeral Home in Malden.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Landess Funeral Home in Malden with the Rev. Karl Kline officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden.
