Funeral service for Tony J. Van Amburg of Cape Girardeau will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. The Rev. Vester Keesee will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.

VanAmburg, 74, died Tuesday, March 18, 1997, at Vencor Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born July 9, 1922, at Oak Ridge, son of O.L. and Mary P. Seabaugh VanAmburg.

VanAmburg had been a cook at Burger Chef, Sunny Hill, and Port Cape.

Survivors include three sons, Jimmy and Vaughn VanAmburg of Jackson, Albert VanAmburg of Frankfurt, Germany; two daughters, Sibra Crites of Jackson, Debra Thele of Marble Hill; a brother, Cleo VanAmburg of Jackson; a friend, Ruth French of Tamms, Ill.; and four grandchildren.
