Funeral service for Erma Agnes Boyer of Bourbon will be held at 10 a.m. today at Hassebroek-Felton Funeral Home in Sullivan. Pastor Vicki Taggert will officiate.

Boyer, 89, died Tuesday, March 18, 1997, in Sullivan.

She was born June 16, 1907, in Indiana, daughter of Thomas and Molly Ethyl Williams Cox. She and Joseph Russell Boyer were married April 29, 1940, at Old Mines. He preceded her in death.

Boyer had been an elementary teacher in Southeast Missouri and in Arkansas.

Survivors include a son, Thomas Boyer of El Cajon, Calif.; two daughters, Naneta Taylor of Oak Harbor, Wash., Molly Messex of Sullivan; a brother, Lester Sherfield of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Eva Magill of Marietta, Ga.; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son and two sisters.
