COBDEN, Ill. -- Ellade S. Cox, 79, of Cobden died Friday, March 21, 1997, at her home.

She was born Dec. 2, 1917, in Saline County, the daughter of Curtis Ray and Anna Marie Robbs Scott.

She and Ray Cox were married on May 10, 1935. He died on Jan. 12, 1990.

She was a comptroller for the Illinois Department of Corrections at Menard. She retired in July 1982.

She is survived by a son, David Scott of Anna; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Friends may call at the Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden after 5 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. David McNabb will officiate, with burial in the Cobden Cemetery.
