CAIRO, Ill. -- Theresa M. Garvey, 93, of Cairo died Monday, March 24, 1997, at Daystar Care Center. She was born Nov. 22, 1903, in Bowling Green, Mo., daughter of James P. and Margaret Tobin Garvey. Garvey was a registered nurse at the former St. Mary's Hospital in Cairo many years. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church...

CAIRO, Ill. -- Theresa M. Garvey, 93, of Cairo died Monday, March 24, 1997, at Daystar Care Center.

She was born Nov. 22, 1903, in Bowling Green, Mo., daughter of James P. and Margaret Tobin Garvey.

Garvey was a registered nurse at the former St. Mary's Hospital in Cairo many years. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

Survivors include a niece, Kathleen Riechers, and a nephew, Wayne Wencker, both of St. Louis.

Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo from 5-7 p.m. today. The rosary will be recited at 7.

Funeral Mass will be at 8 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick's Church, with the Rev. James Fortenberry officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis.
