BLOOMFIELD -- Funeral service for Bud McRoy of Bloomfield will be held at 11 a.m. today at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home. The Rev. Kevin Eskew will officiate, with burial in Walker Cemetery.

McRoy, 91, died Sunday, March 23, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born March 5, 1906, at Bloomfield, son of William and Bessie Taylor McRoy. He and Ollie B. Pruitt were married Sept. 26, 1926.

McRoy owned a gravel trucking business 27 years. He was a member of First General Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Edward McRoy of Bloomfield; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
