MARBLE HILL -- Evan A. Myers, 83, of Imperial died Sunday, March 23, 1997, at his home.

He was born Oct. 17, 1913, in Shannon County, son of George and Arizona Henry Myers. He and Veda Jewell Sturgeon were married Sept. 12, 1936, near Lutesville.

Myers retired as a machinist with McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis, He attended First Baptist Church of New Offenburg.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Raymond Myers of Soquel, Calif.; two daughters, Shirley Towery of Arnold, Rhonda Truska of Imperial; a sister, Edna Woodfin of DeSoto; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, two sisters and three grandchildren.

Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Stan Brown officiating. Burial will be in Baker Cemetery.
