PERRYVILLE -- Funeral service for Carrel J. "C.J." Stearns of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. today at First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Thomas Bass officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery at Jackson, with military graveside rites by VFW Post 3838 of Cape Girardeau.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 6:30-8:30 a.m.

Stearns, 74, died Sunday, March 23, 1997, at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.

He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
