Daisy Mae Smith, 63, 1101 Bloomfield, died Saturday, May 17, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. She was born Sept. 24, 1933, at Clarksdale, Miss., daughter of George and Mary Holton Davenport. Smith was a homemaker. Survivors include three sons, Venice "Jack" Thomas Johnson of Decatur, Ala., Larry Lee Smith and Richard Smith of Cape Girardeau; four daughters, Betty Mosley, Michelle Smith and Everlene Johnson of Cape Girardeau, and Katherine Johnson of Springfield, Ill.; two sisters, Alene Austin of Eugene, Ore., Katherine Jean Smith of Tennessee; 15 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.. ...

She was preceded in death by a her parents, brother, sister and grandchild.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 12:30 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. JoAnne McCauley will officiate with burial in Fairmount Cemetery.
