ETHEL ANTHONY

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- Ethel M. Anthony, 88, of Bloomington, died Saturday, May 17, 1997, at the Care Center in Bloomington.

She was born on Sept. 8, 1908 at Clarksville, Ark., the daughter of Walter Lee and Tennessee Pearson Russell. She and Lee Anthony were married on Nov. 17, 1932. He preceded her in death.

Anthony was a homemaker.

Survivors include a daughter, Nona Steigman of Las Vegas, Nev.; two brothers, Lawrence Russell of Bloomington, Ill., and Bergess Russell of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran at 4 p.m. Monday.

Funeral service will be at the Chapel at 10 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Ed Carter officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley.
