RANCIS `DALE' LAYTON

PERRYVILLE -- Francis "Dale" Layton, 59, of Perryville died Monday, May 19, 1997, in Memphis, Tenn.

He was born Dec. 3, 1937, in Perryville, son of Harold and Mary Flossie Brewer Layton. He married Marilyn Strong on June 5, 1989, and she preceded him in death on Oct. 8, 1995.

He was currently engaged to Ruth Ann Cave of Chaffee. He was a Prudential Life agent and a member of Christ the Savior Catholic Church in Brewer.

He is survived by his mother, two sons, Randy Layton of Chicago and Jim Layton of Perryville; three daughters, Deborah Moore of Cape Girardeau, Susan Brightwell of Columbia and Patty Busch of Perryville; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, and from 6:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. Wednesday at Young & Sons Chapel in Perryville.

Funeral Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Christ the Savior Catholic Church in Brewer with the Rev. Felipe Martinez officiating. A parish wake will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
