PANSY GROSS

Pansy LaVerne Gross, 75, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, May 18, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born Aug. 31, 1921, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Silas Malford and Effie Mae Groves Helderman. She and Carl Gross were married June 22, 1940, in Cape Girardeau.

Gross was a lifelong resident of Cape Girardeau, and member of First Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mary Pickering of Houston, Texas; three sons, Carl Gross of St. Louis, Charles Gross of Tamms, Ill., Don Gross of Scott City; a sister, Dorothy Keene of Long Beach, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, a sister, stepmother, and stepbrother.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 6-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Bill Burke officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
