HILMER RICHTER

UNIONTOWN -- Hilmer Walter Richter, 82, of Uniontown died Saturday, June 21, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born May 17, 1915, in Wittenberg to Otto M. and Lina Schmidt Richter. On April 26, 1942, he married Florence Irene Mueller. She survives.

He was a retired carpenter. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Uniontown and VFW Post 4282 in Perryville. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

He is survived by a daughter, Judy K. Hager of St. Charles; a sister, Nelda Franko of St. Louis; and a grandson of Kansas City, Kan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.

Funeral service will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Young and Sons Chapel in Perryville, with the Rev. Paul Winningham officiating. Friends may call Monday from 3:30 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home and Tuesday from 6:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Grace Lutheran Church Cemetery.
