WYATT -- Wilmer Eugene Black, 55, of Wyatt died Thursday, July 10, 1997, at his home. He was born Dec. 7, 1941, in Lexey, Ala., son of James Carl Leo and Ella Mae Mosley Black. He and Virginia Wilson were married Sept. 6, 1988. Black had lived in Mississippi County since 1986. He was a station attendant at Wyatt Junction Truck Stop. WYATT -- Wilmer Eugene Black, 55, of Wyatt died Thursday, July 10, 1997, at his home.

He was born Dec. 7, 1941, in Lexey, Ala., son of James Carl Leo and Ella Mae Mosley Black. He and Virginia Wilson were married Sept. 6, 1988.

Black had lived in Mississippi County since 1986. He was a station attendant at Wyatt Junction Truck Stop. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Jeff, Wade, Chris and Phillip Black, all of Bay Minette, Ala.; a stepson, Dale Ross of Charleston; two brothers, O'Neal Black of Bratt, Fla., Carl Black of Grand Prairie, Texas; two sisters, Doris Wilson of Spanish Fort, Ala., Deloris Vance of Wickliffe, Ky.; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers.

Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston from 5-8 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Bill Bradley officiating. Burial will be in National Cemetery at Mounds, Ill.
