EAST PRAIRIE -- Effie Mae Morgan Jackson, 82, of East Prairie died Friday, Aug. 1, 1997, at the East Prairie Nursing Center.

She was born Jan. 7, 1915, at East Prairie, the daughter of Eddie Lee and Sarah Florence Miller Morgan.

She was a lifelong resident of Mississippi County.

She and Joe Jackson were married on July 28, 1935, at Benton.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Chuck Jackson of Cape Girardeau and Terry Jackson of East Prairie; three daughters, Barbara Organ of East Prairie, Janice Webb of Jefferson City and Marjorie Blythe of Vandalia, Ill.; a sister, Evie Johnson of St. Louis; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister and five brothers.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.

Larry Smith will officiate, with burial in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
