WYATT -- Clifton C. "Tootie" Brumley, 72, of Wyatt died Saturday, Aug. 2, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. WYATT -- Clifton C. "Tootie" Brumley, 72, of Wyatt died Saturday, Aug. 2, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Jan. 25, 1925, in Mississippi County, son of Grover and Della Miller Brumley. He had lived in Mississippi County all his life and had worked as an insurance salesman with the Western-Southern Insurance Co. in Sikeston.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Wyatt, the Masonic Lodge #407 AF and AM in Charleston and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

He married Bonnie Lee on March 22, 1947, and she survives.

He is also survived by three daughters, Jerris Crosier of Charleston, Rita Gibson of Wyatt and Karen Maxam of Naperville, Ill.; two brothers, Uyles Brumley of Wyatt and Fred Brumley of San Antonio, Texas; four sisters, Earline Hinchey, Ella Mae Williams and Sarah Pullen, all of Wyatt, and Ruth Ann George of Diehlstadt; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Charles Carr, pastor of the United Methodist Church of Wyatt, and the Rev. Harold Norton of Piedmont officiating.

Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
