PERRYVILLE -- Toleta H. Niswonger, 82, of Perryville died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 1997, at Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born Feb. 23, 1915, in Perry County the daughter of John and Margaret Mabuce Christisen. On April 2, 1933, she married Emil G. Niswonger, and he died Jan. 11, 1973.

She retired in 1979 after 39 1/2 years with Carter Carburetor in St. Louis and moved back to Perryville in 1980.

She belonged to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville, was a former member of Ladies Aid and an avid supporter of the Humane Society.

Survivors include a daughter, Geraldine Rellergert of Perryville; two sisters, Hilda Forestel of St. Louis and Helen Taylor of Perryville; five children and eight great-grandchildren.

Five brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Young & Sons Funeral Chapel in Peryville.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Craig Otto officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
