JONESBORO, Ill. -- Lowell Keller, 91, of Jonesboro died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 1997, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale. He was born Sept. 8, 1905, in Dongola, son of Alfred and Edna Garrett Keller. He and Cleeta Sheffer were married Dec. 4, 1924. She died Feb. 4, 1996...

JONESBORO, Ill. -- Lowell Keller, 91, of Jonesboro died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 1997, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.

He was born Sept. 8, 1905, in Dongola, son of Alfred and Edna Garrett Keller. He and Cleeta Sheffer were married Dec. 4, 1924. She died Feb. 4, 1996.

Keller was a member of First Baptist Church at Dongola.

Survivors include a son, Gary Keller of Anna; two daughters, Lila Childers of Mounds, Sandy Keller of Marion; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Everett Frizzell officiating. Burial will be in American Legion Cemetery.
