EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for Ella Myrtle Johnson of Herculaneum will be held at 11 a.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel in East Prairie. Larry Smith will officiate, with burial in Dogwood Cemetery.

Johnson, 84, died Sunday, Aug. 10, 1997, at Westview Nursing Center in Herculaneum.

She was born Dec. 21, 1912, in Cedar Creek, Tenn., daughter of William L. and Martha Ellen Johns Cotham. She and Elec N. Johnson were married June 21, 1930. He died June 1, 1983.

Johnson lived in East Prairie 30 years before moving to St. Louis, where she worked in the housekeeping department at St. Luke Hospital.
