Grace E. Arnold, 87, 2910 Beaver Creek, died Monday, Aug. 18, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born July 8, 1910, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of H.F. and Flora Hanebrink Bode. She and Albert Cottle were married in 1930 in Cape Girardeau. He died in 1972. She later married Robert Arnold in 1973 in Calvert City, Ky. He died in 1994.
Arnold was a bookkeeper 14 years at Southeast Hospital, and had been secretary to the board of directors.
She was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church, Cape Girardeau Country Club Golf Association, VFW Auxiliary to Post 3838, and Alpha Rho chapter of Beta Sigma Phi. She had also been secretary for the Senior Men's Golf Tournament, and a volunteer at St. Francis Medical Center.
Survivors include a sister, Pat Tipton of Cape Girardeau.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 5-7 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Robert J. Daniel officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
