Funeral service and entombment for James Brant of Lakewood, Colo., will be at 1 p.m. today at Mt. Olive Mausoleum and Cemetery in Denver, Colo.
Brant, 81, died Wednesday, Aug. 13, 1997, at St. John's Hospice Home in Lakewood.
He was born March 16, 1916, at Ancell, son of Iven D. and Clara E. Diebold Brant. He and Beulah Welker were married Aug. 15, 1936.
Brant was a graduate of St. Mary's School. He was a maintenance worker 25 years at the old St. Francis Hospital. The family moved to the Denver area in 1958.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Rose Brant of Lakewood, Judy Koster of Craig, Colo.; a brother, Victor Brant of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Mary Racker of St. Louis, Rita Fornkohl of Jackson; a half brother, Norman Brant of Scott City; a half sister, Cory Brant of Scott City; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
