JACKSON -- Winifred M. Aldrich, 73, of Jackson died Thursday, Aug. 28, 1997, at her home.

She was born Oct. 29, 1923, at Olive Branch, Ill., daughter of Samuel and Mary Hahn Bradshaw.

She and Glenn W. Aldrich were married on March 22, 1943. He died on July 25, 1986.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jackson and the Women's Farm Bureau for 13 years. She was a 4-H club leader for 15 years, secretary and treasurer of Villa Ridge Union Church for many years, and a volunteer at Southeast Missouri Hospital for five years. She was a member of Tops and Queen in 1996.

Survivors include a son, Stephen Jay Aldrich Sr., Ketichkan, Alaska; a daughter, Myrna Hensley of Jackson; a sister, Etta Dickson of Texas; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a son and several brothers and sisters.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Villa Ridge (Ill.) Cemetery. The Rev. F. Jerry Herring will officiate.
