WILLIAM CURD

BLOOMFIELD -- Funeral service for William Jay Curd of Bloomfield will be held at 2 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. The Rev. M.C. Moore will officiate, with burial in Bloomfield Cemetery.

Curd, 66, died Thursday, Sept. 18, 1997, at Dexter Memorial Hospital in Dexter.

He was born Sept. 27, 1930, at Essex, son of Lee and Carrie Shipman Curd. He and Mary Lou Hyslop were married April 14, 1950. She died Dec. 24, 1984.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry Curd of Bloomfield, Eric Curd of Dexter; three daughters, Amanda Schultz of Kansas City, Teresa Lankford and Sharon Foster of Bloomfield; a stepson, Jack Beckwith of Daytona Beach, Fla.; three stepdaughters, Julie Lewis of Aquilla, Janeen Britt of Bertrand, Karen Ryan of Bloomfield; a brother, Tommy Curd of Dexter; a sister, Martha Stone of Morehouse; his companion, Willyne Jones of Bloomfield; 18 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters.
