Funeral service for Shirlene E. Bowman, 3115 Timmar Lane, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Memorial Park Mausoleum. Jack Cathcart and Brad Robinson will officiate.

Friends may call from 1:30 p.m. until service time at the mausoleum.

Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Bowman, 62, died Friday, Sept. 19, 1997, at her home.

She was born Sept. 28, 1934, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of George and Ethel White Ford. She and Richard K. Bowman were married April 22, 1950, in Piggott, Ark.

Bowman was a seamstress at Hecht's many years, and also worked at Ralph Edwards Sportswear several years.

Survivors include her husband; four sons, Rick, Robert, Rodney and Richard Bowman Jr., all of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Becky Ford of Cape Girardeau; her mother of Cape Girardeau; three brothers, Jack and Carl Ford of Cape Girardeau, Don Ford of Waco, Texas; a sister, Wilda Kitchen of Cape Girardeau; 11 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her father.
