EARLENE SMITH

JONESBORO, Ill. -- Earlene Smith, 52, of Jonesboro died Thursday, Sept. 25, 1997, at her home.

She was born Feb. 25, 1945, in Des Arc, Ark., daughter of William Earl and Vera Belle Smith Dunn. She and Jerry D. Smith were married Dec. 20, 1963, in Anna.

Smith was employed at Florsheim Shoe Co. in Anna.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Jerry Smith Jr. of Wolf Lake; two daughters, Teresa Smith and Charlotte Greenway of Anna; three brothers, James Dunn of Belleville, Eddie Dunn of Arkansas, Donald Dunn of Perks.

Also surviving are nine sisters, Joan Ramage of Olmsted, Annie Fowler of Ste. Genevieve, Mo., Betty Altenberger of Karnak, Linda Allen of Robards, Ky., Mary Franklin of Tamms, Carolyn Garner of Metropolis, Vera Rendleman of Anna, Vivian Ratliff of Wickliffe, Ky., and Sandra Ratliff of Chicago.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother.

Friends may call at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.
