LILA MIDGETT

PUXICO -- Funeral service for Lila Midgett will be held at 2 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico. The Rev. Lynn Ash will officiate, with burial in Puxico Cemetery.

Midgett, 69, died Sunday, March 30, 1997, at Doctors Hospital in Poplar Bluff.

She was born Oct. 20, 1927, at Dudley, daughter of William and Jane Craft McGowen. She and Harry Midgett were married April 25, 1946. He died April 2, 1986.

Midgett was a lifelong resident of the Dudley and Puxico areas.

Survivors include a son, David Midgett of Dexter; two brothers, Tom McGowen of Puxico, Cecil McGowen of Dudley; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five brothers and a sister.
