SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. -- Pauline Mae Clanton, 69, died Friday, April 4, 1997, after an extended illness.

She was born Nov. 14, 1927, daughter of Hudson and Bertha Condict Wethington.

She was married to Cecil R. Clanton Jr. and was a former resident of Gray Ridge, Mo. She was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Survivors include her husband of Shelbyville; a son, Cecil R. Clanton III of Brentwood, Tenn.; a daughter, Susan Clanton of Nashville, Tenn.; six brothers, Paul Wethington of Encinitas, Calif., David Wethington of Arlington, Texas, Fred Wethington and Donald Wethington, both of Bloomfield, Elzie Wethington of Essex and M.B. Wethington of Sikeston; a sister, Linda Curtis of Johnson City, Ill.; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services and burial were in Shelbyville.
