SIKESTON -- Eddie Ray Critten, 46, of Sikeston died suddenly Saturday, Oct. 18, 1997. He was born Jan. 6, 1951, in Sikeston, son of Johnny R. Longstreet Sr. and Eula Critten. Critten was a restaurant cook. Survivors include three sons, Eddie Critten Jr. of Atlanta, Ga., Tim Craig of Kalamazoo, Mich., Richard Critten of Charleston; a daughter, Stephanie Critten of Atlanta; his mother, Eula Critten of Washington, D.C.; and stepmother, Goletha Longstreet of Sikeston...

SIKESTON -- Eddie Ray Critten, 46, of Sikeston died suddenly Saturday, Oct. 18, 1997.

He was born Jan. 6, 1951, in Sikeston, son of Johnny R. Longstreet Sr. and Eula Critten.

Critten was a restaurant cook.

Survivors include three sons, Eddie Critten Jr. of Atlanta, Ga., Tim Craig of Kalamazoo, Mich., Richard Critten of Charleston; a daughter, Stephanie Critten of Atlanta; his mother, Eula Critten of Washington, D.C.; and stepmother, Goletha Longstreet of Sikeston.

Also surviving are four sisters, Marva Jones and Heimetta Brown of Washington, D.C., Valerie Critten of Tobago, West Indies, Angela Nabors of Sikeston; five brothers, Odis Applewhite, Patrick and Vincent Longstreet of Sikeston, Johnny Longstreet of Cincinnati, Ohio, Clarence Brown of Peoria, Ill.; and three granddaughters.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Cornerstone Baptist Church, with the Rev. J.L. Nabors officiating. Burial will be in Sunset of Memories Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church Wednesday from 11 a.m. until service time.

Williams-Farr and Purnell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
